They come into this game on the back of a defeat to Real Sociedad, but they can take heart from the fact that Barcelona played out a goalless draw against Girona at home the last time they turned out in La Liga as well. The visiting side, however, will be keen on winning this game and consolidating their position at the top of the tree.

Pedri, Ousmane Dembele, Frenkie de Jong and Andreas Christensen will all be missing in action for Barcelona whereas the likes of Mauro Arambarri and Jaime Mata will not be available for selection for Getafe. Barcelona have a lot of readymade replacements in their side while Getafe will have to play out of their skins to challenge them.

Barcelona appear to be the overwhelming favourites to win this game. The last time Getafe managed to win a game against them was back in October 2020. A lot of water has flown under the bridge since then, and the Blaugrana are back to where they belong- the top of the table. We predict Barcelona to win this match.
