Match Overview
Arsenal's troubles continue to be expounded after another tough clash in the run-in to the title, with them travelling to the northeast to take on Newcastle United at St James' Park on Sunday. Eddie Howe's side are known to be brutal when they play at home, but Mikel Arteta will not be flustered at all. The Gunners come into this game on the back of a fascinating 3-1 win over Chelsea.
Key Highlights
There have been a total of 25 games recorded between the two teams in the past, out of which Arsenal, quite naturally, have won 19. Newcastle have only been victorious on three occasions while the rest of the three matches were played out as drawn encounters. There was nothing to separate the two teams when they met earlier in the season in the reverse fixture played at the Emirates.
Injury Report
While Sean Longstaff, Emile Krafth, Jamal Lascelles and Allan Saint-Maximin will be unavailable for selection for Newcastle United, Arsenal will have to make do without the services of William Saliba, Mohamed Elneny and Takehiro Tomiyasu. Even Brazilian central defender Gabriel appears to be doubtful for this game.
Prediction
We expect BTTS (both teams to score) in this match. Newcastle are the superior of the two teams given how well they perform at home. Backed by a vociferous crowd, Eddie Howe's men will be looking forward to dismantling the Gunners. The visiting side, however, will be seething from the fact that they have almost bottled the Premier League. They will be trying their best to get back on top.
